Probate & Fiduciary Litigation

Estate Accounting is a critical area for estate fiduciaries to act competently, or they will incur potentially serious liability.

On May 13, 2026, Glenn will be giving a seminar to the Institute of Paralegal Education on “Estate Accounting Basics, Forms, and Checklists for Paralegals. Topics will include:

I Estate Accounting 101: Core Concepts, Fiduciary Duties, Key Terms, etc.

II Calculating the Beneficiary’s Share of Assets

III Preparing an Inventory and Marshalling Assets

IV Drafting a Schedule of Proposed Distribution: Legal Best Practices

V Recordkeeping of Accounts, Receipts, and Disbursements

VI Final Reports, Distributions, and Closing the Estate

Use of A.I. is a relatively new area were fiduciaries including attorneys need to exercise diligence and compentence.

On December 29, 2025, Glenn delivered a CLE presentation to the National Business Institute on the use of A.I. in estate planning. His core point: while “hallucinations” are getting the attention, the incredible fluency of LLMs can cause even experts to fail to appreciate gaps and incongruencies. This makes the negligent use of A.I. in estate planning an almost worst use-case scenario. Glenn also urged law firms to conduct due diligence on all A.I. vendors they will work with in order to ensure that the vendors will treat confidential information securely.
